GIBALKA

This is my diploma work (Faculty of Education, dep. Fine Arts), titled ‘Photography on canvas and other materials. I was introducing photography in an old, pioneer technique of developing photography, combined with painting. The repeating element is a woman body, which I’ve taken the personal note. The reality was put into an illusory space, but on the other side building a labyrinth of different compositions of the body. These compositions are illustrating the time of birth, human development, wishes and life conditions. Woman is a symbol for carrying fetus, as a breading mother in her search for identity.
